Reflection Template For Giada, Font of Hope
For each loss, name one primary cause and one secondary cause. For each win, name the card, package, or tactical policy that most contributed to the win. Classify each result as a card quantity problem, card selection problem, mana problem, tempo problem, matchup problem, sideboard problem, pilot sequencing problem, or closing-power problem. Report mana performance, sideboard impact, stranded cards, overperforming cards, underperforming cards, and whether the Deck Strategy or Tactical Policy guidance was followed.
- Mulligans: Did opening hands reliably produce early white mana plus a meaningful first play such as Giada, Font of Hope, Esper Sentinel, Archivist of Oghma, Mother of Runes, Alseid of Life's Bounty, Deafening Silence, or Rule of Law?
- Mana: Did Ancient Tomb, City of Traitors, Crystal Vein, Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Lotus Petal, Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Pearl Medallion, or Mox Amber accelerate a decisive board, or did their costs leave the deck down cards, life, or white sources?
- Velocity: Did Esper Sentinel, Trouble in Pairs, Archivist of Oghma, Folk Hero, Chivalric Alliance, War Room, Minas Tirith, Smothering Tithe, and Battle Angels of Tyr actually produce cards or mana before the game was decided?
- Engine pieces: Did Giada, Font of Hope stay in play long enough to make Angel sizing matter, and were Starnheim Aspirant, Herald of War, Youthful Valkyrie, Righteous Valkyrie, Angel of Vitality, Archangel of Thune, and Lyra Dawnbringer sequenced to compound pressure?
- Constraint package: Did Deafening Silence, Rule of Law, Eidolon of Rhetoric, Archon of Emeria, Drannith Magistrate, Grafdigger's Cage, Aven Mindcensor, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Blind Obedience, Silence, or Ranger-Captain of Eos stop the opponent's important turn, or did they slow our own recovery more than the table?
- Removal: Did Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, Solitude, March of Otherworldly Light, Bovine Intervention, Soul Partition, Unexplained Absence, Winds of Abandon, Cathar Commando, Witch Enchanter, Loran of the Third Path, and Karn, the Great Creator hit decisive permanents rather than low-impact targets?
- Protection: Did Mother of Runes, Alseid of Life's Bounty, Reprieve, Silence, Ranger-Captain of Eos, Cavern of Souls, and Flowering of the White Tree protect the card that the hand actually depended on?
- Combat: Did Archangel of Tithes, Angel of Invention, Thraben Watcher, Lyra Dawnbringer, Archangel of Thune, Angel of Destiny, Serra Ascendant, Segovian Angel, and Battle Angels of Tyr convert attacks safely, or were Angels held back too long against a clock?
- Closing: Which closer ended games most cleanly: Angel of Destiny, Walking Ballista, Heliod, Sun-Crowned plus lifegain pressure, Luminarch Ascension, a Giada, Font of Hope counter snowball, or ordinary evasive Angel combat?
- Role: Did the pilot correctly identify when to be prison-control, Angel beatdown, lifegain stabilizer, or resource engine, and did role switches happen before life total or cards ran out?
- Recovery: Did Serra Paragon, Sevinne's Reclamation, Beza, the Bounding Spring, White Plume Adventurer, and Search for Glory recover from removal or mana stalls, or were they stranded behind timing, Grafdigger's Cage, or pressure?
- Sideboard: Because Sideboard (0) permits no swaps, did any matchup repeatedly need a card type or effect that was absent from the registered 100?
- Mistakes: Record every pass with open mana, every removal spell used before a higher-priority visible target appeared, every missed land sequencing issue with City of Traitors or Remote Farm, and every time a Rule of Law effect prevented a needed catch-up sequence.
- Stranded cards: Track cards stuck in hand for three or more turns, especially Angel of Destiny, Angel of Invention, Herald of War, Battle Angels of Tyr, Archangel of Thune, Trouble in Pairs, Karn, the Great Creator, Search for Glory, and Walking Ballista.
- Overperformers and underperformers: Mark whether each high-impact card won, stabilized, drew cards, locked a turn, or sat irrelevant, using visible game state rather than assumed card quality.
