Reflection Template For Brigid, Clachan's Heart

For each loss, name one primary cause and one secondary cause. For each win, name the card, package, or tactical policy that most contributed to the win. Classify each result as a card quantity problem, card selection problem, mana problem, tempo problem, matchup problem, sideboard problem, pilot sequencing problem, or closing-power problem. Report mana performance, sideboard impact, stranded cards, overperforming cards, underperforming cards, and whether the Deck Strategy or Tactical Policy guidance was followed.

  • Deciding factor: record whether the game was decided by early mana development, protected tutor execution, Gaea's Cradle scaling, combat control from Brigid, Clachan's Heart, sideboard hate, or failure to close after stabilizing.

  • Mulligans: note whether the opener had green mana plus Arbor Elf, Avacyn's Pilgrim, Birds of Paradise, Boreal Druid, Delighted Halfling, Elvish Mystic, Fyndhorn Elves, Llanowar Elves, Utopia Sprawl, Wild Growth, Sol Ring, or Lotus Petal; flag keeps that required Gaea's Cradle before enough creatures were visible.

  • Mana: report whether white was available on time for Swords to Plowshares, Silence, Grand Abolisher, Ranger-Captain of Eos, Recruiter of the Guard, Stoneforge Mystic, Witch Enchanter, or sideboard cards, and separate avoidable Ancient Tomb damage from damage required for a decisive legal line.

  • Velocity: record whether Esper Sentinel, Ranger of Eos, Recruiter of the Guard, Woodland Bellower, Brightglass Gearhulk, Shared Summons, Tooth and Nail, Finale of Devastation, Green Sun's Zenith, Chord of Calling, or Invasion of Ikoria converted mana into pressure, engine assembly, or a win instead of only consuming a turn.

  • Engine execution: note whether Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, Quirion Ranger, Scryb Ranger, Wirewood Symbiote, Hyrax Tower Scout, Village Bell-Ringer, Emiel the Blessed, Staff of Domination, Umbral Mantle, Mobilize, or Vitalize produced a meaningful mana, combat, or untap advantage. Card text check required for Nature's Rhythm, Starfield Shepherd, Badgermole Cub, Formidable Speaker, Elite Interceptor, Flash Thompson, Spider-Fan, Voice of Victory, and Talon Gates of Madara before assigning engine credit.

  • Interaction timing: record whether Swords to Plowshares, Endurance, Boseiju, Who Endures, Haywire Mite, Witch Enchanter, Emerald Charm, Veil of Summer, Legolas's Quick Reflexes, Silence, Grand Abolisher, or Ranger-Captain of Eos was used before the decisive opposing card, during the correct stack window, or after the window had passed.

  • Sideboard impact: after each post-board game, record whether Path to Exile, Rest in Peace, Drannith Magistrate, Stony Silence, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Collector Ouphe, Reclamation Sage, Krosan Grip, Force of Vigor, or Burrenton Forge-Tender was drawn, cast, tutored, stranded, actively harmful, or decisive.

  • Closing: record whether the win came through combat, Finale of Devastation, Staff of Domination, Umbral Mantle, Tooth and Nail, Woodland Bellower, Brightglass Gearhulk, a tutor-chain payoff, or an opponent concession-equivalent lock, and flag games where stabilization happened but no closer appeared within two turn cycles.

  • Role accuracy: classify the pilot's chosen role as beatdown, engine-combo, prison-hate, or defensive midrange, then flag cases where Natural Order, Eldritch Evolution, Altar of Bone, or Crop Rotation sacrificed too much material for that role.

  • Mistakes: log any pass with relevant legal interaction, any tutor for a low-impact card under pressure, any attack that exposed a needed mana creature, and any protection spell used before the opponent committed a stack action.

  • Stranded cards: list expensive or conditional cards stuck in hand, especially Tooth and Nail, Shared Summons, Brightglass Gearhulk, Sowing Mycospawn, Disciple of Freyalise, Natural Order, Eldritch Evolution, Altar of Bone, Staff of Domination, and Umbral Mantle.

  • Performance labels: mark overperformers and underperformers separately from mana failure, pilot sequencing, matchup mismatch, and rules uncertainty.

  • Mulligans: note whether the opening hand had green mana plus an accelerator such as Arbor Elf, Avacyn's Pilgrim, Birds of Paradise, Boreal Druid, Elvish Mystic, Fyndhorn Elves, Llanowar Elves, Delighted Halfling, Utopia Sprawl, Wild Growth, Sol Ring, or Lotus Petal. Flag keeps that needed Gaea's Cradle to be good before enough creatures were visible.

  • Mana: track whether white was available on time for Swords to Plowshares, Silence, Grand Abolisher, Ranger-Captain of Eos, Recruiter of the Guard, Stoneforge Mystic, or sideboard interaction. Record avoidable Ancient Tomb damage separately from damage required to execute a decisive line.

  • Velocity: record whether Esper Sentinel, Ranger of Eos, Recruiter of the Guard, Woodland Bellower, Brightglass Gearhulk, Shared Summons, Tooth and Nail, Finale of Devastation, Green Sun's Zenith, Chord of Calling, or Invasion of Ikoria actually converted mana into a winning position or only consumed a turn.

  • Engine execution: note whether Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, Quirion Ranger, Scryb Ranger, Wirewood Symbiote, Hyrax Tower Scout, Village Bell-Ringer, Emiel the Blessed, Staff of Domination, Umbral Mantle, Mobilize, or Vitalize produced a meaningful mana or combat advantage. Card text check required for unfamiliar engine assumptions involving Nature's Rhythm, Starfield Shepherd, Badgermole Cub, Formidable Speaker, Elite Interceptor, Flash Thompson, Spider-Fan, Voice of Victory, and Talon Gates of Madara.

  • Interaction: record whether Swords to Plowshares, Endurance, Boseiju, Who Endures, Haywire Mite, Witch Enchanter, Emerald Charm, Veil of Summer, Legolas's Quick Reflexes, Silence, Grand Abolisher, or Ranger-Captain of Eos was used before the decisive opposing card or after the window had already passed.

  • Sideboard: after each post-board game, record which of Path to Exile, Rest in Peace, Drannith Magistrate, Stony Silence, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Collector Ouphe, Reclamation Sage, Krosan Grip, Force of Vigor, and Burrenton Forge-Tender was drawn, cast, tutored, stranded, or actively harmful to our own plan.

  • Closing: note whether the deck won through combat, Finale of Devastation, a mana engine with Staff of Domination or Umbral Mantle, a tutor-chain payoff, or opponent concession-equivalent board lock. Record games where stabilization happened but no legal closer appeared within two turn cycles.

  • Role accuracy: identify whether the pilot correctly chose beatdown, engine-combo, prison-hate, or defensive midrange. Flag games where Natural Order, Eldritch Evolution, Altar of Bone, or Crop Rotation sacrificed too much material for the actual matchup role.

  • Mistakes: log any pass with relevant legal interaction, any tutor that found a low-impact card under pressure, any attack that exposed a needed mana creature, and any protection spell used before the opponent committed a stack action.

  • Stranded cards: list expensive or conditional cards stuck in hand, especially Tooth and Nail, Shared Summons, Brightglass Gearhulk, Sowing Mycospawn, Disciple of Freyalise, Natural Order, Eldritch Evolution, Altar of Bone, Staff of Domination, and Umbral Mantle.

  • Overperformers and underperformers: mark cards that repeatedly generated wins, bought survival, or clogged hands. Separate card weakness from pilot sequencing, mana failure, and matchup mismatch.
