SonarQube reports python:S2208 in
backend/atlas_portal/routes/access_requests.py. The build is green; this is a standing finding, not a failure. What is wrong
Line 8 uses a wildcard import (from .access_request_state import *), which python:S2208 flags because it hides which names enter the module namespace and can silently shadow or drop symbols. The wildcard exists only so this facade module, passed to the registrars as deps = sys.modules[name], exposes access_request_state's public names as attributes that the registrars and monkeypatching tests rely on.
Ariadne opened no pull request for it: no automated patch was possible for this finding.
Facts
backend/atlas_portal/routes/access_requests.py:8)Suggested fix (not applied)
Hermes could not open a pull request for this, so the change below was not written, validated, or pushed anywhere. It is a starting point for whoever picks this up, not a reviewed patch.
backend/atlas_portal/routes/access_requests.py— Replace the star import with a normal module import plus an explicit re-export of the state module's public names into this module's globals. Using all when defined, and otherwise every non-underscore name, reproduces exactly the set of names a star import binds, so the facade's attribute/patch surface is byte-for-byte identical: the registrars still find every dependency on deps, and tests that monkeypatch attributes on this module keep working. The obsolete '# noqa: F403' is removed rather than moved, so no rule is suppressed. If you prefer the more conventional fix, swap the globals().u... (truncated)
